DANYELL R. LEWIS, MPA
Founder & Principal Consultant
Danyell offers public policy, facilitation and technical research expertise to create customized, equitable solutions for clients. She has designed and led powerful experiences for adult learners ranging from community leaders and program staff to nonprofit leaders and foundation executives. Danyell excels at enabling teams to explore power, race, inclusion and equity, and applying those lenses to systems, strategies and organizational practices. She is deeply committed to racial justice and trained in interrogating and redesigning systems that disproportionately benefit the most privileged.
Before founding Third & Main Consulting, Danyell led advocacy efforts to center the most marginalized communities in policy and lawmaking processes; supported nonprofit, school system and philanthropic innovation at a national policy and strategy firm; community organized for the 2016 Democratic presidential campaign; and built a national network of rural leaders at a technical assistance nonprofit.
Danyell is a former governor's appointee to Colorado’s Charter School Institute Board of Directors and a Progressive Leadership Academy alumnus. She earned a Master of Public Administration from the John Glenn College of Public Affairs at The Ohio State University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from University of Dayton. A first generation college student, Danyell is a proud Dayton Public Schools graduate who was born and raised in Dayton, OH.
